Microsoft is trying really, really, really, really, really hard to show you that its Vista operating system and Office 2007 productivity suite are going to be different. In order to further underscore that point, they’ve changed the packaging: rather than coming in cardboard boxes like most software does, Vista and Office ‘07 are housed in plastic cases that–according to the Windows Vista Team Blog–are supposed to “protect the software inside for life-long use.”
