| like title says I need to know what would be good to install on 300mhz processor...its an old computer but just want to update it to a newer version of windows cause I know windows xp will lag like crazy with this processor...its a friends family computer but really dont have the money to replace it but I told them I can install like windows 98 or even 2000 on it...but I want some your guys and girls opinions first thanks in advance... |

I think Win98SE is a good solution.
Or even better, did you think of Linux ? This could be another solution. |

| opps didnt mean to hit enter...but I wish I knew a site to download windows 98se or 2000 at...you have any in mind cause I tossed those disc out a long time ago lol...ever sense xp been out i never went back to that old stuff but friends computer dont think would like xp on it being probably has 32 or 64mb ram lol |

| thanks guys I find out more info on it when I go over his house...I just wish I still had an old windows 98 or 2000 disc cause I probably aint gonna find that online...and I dont think they will like linux or I would just d/l that and install it |

| thanks mate which bootup disk do I run with that???...I know thats way better than windows 95 so I just gonna do that until I find out the info on computer I just saw it was only a 300mhz cpu |

| its an iso so you burn it to a cd via nero burning rom it has a boot image option. then in the bios you boot from cd. |
