Hello,

I have an HP laserjet 1100A all-in-one printer. It needs a new toner cartridge but, I cannot figure out where it goes. I have tried going onto the HP ebsite for help but, the link to the online printer manual is broken, can anyone help?

I purchased a HP color inkjet printer over a year ago. It is one of the all-in-one models. I barely used it for printing, mainly for scanning and ocassionaly for photo copying. Yesterday, I turned it on and tried to print something, it gave me an error message: "Error: Right cartridge incorrect." After a few reboot of the printer, the message doesn't go away, and it blocks all printing and photo-copying tasks. I then called HP support line and they were going to charge me $30 for the support call but I told them I can spend extra $20 to buy another printer, and the support staff paused for a few second and suggested me TO DO SO! Anyway, I then tried to clean the printer from inside out, Air-brushed every inch of the machine, cotton cleaned (with alcohol) the cartridge connecting heads and electronic clips. But nothing helped. I then turned to the Internet...

Toner cartridges are initially more expensive than inkjet cartridges, but are capable of increased production of a typical high-capacity cartridge. Toners are used are cyan magenta yellow and black, the good thing is that when the toner runs out, you can print with the other three colors, and every last bit of toner can be used. A common trick to get more out of toner in the cartridge seems to have exhausted open the printer remove the cartridge and shake it to replace the printer, this will mean a few hundred copies produced more I did it myself a few times I thought the toner was out and found that the toner is deposited in the cartridge and replacement agitation and I can prolong the life of the cartridge.
