Cingular Wireless, a joint venture between AT&T Inc. and BellSouth Corp. on Tuesday said it filed three lawsuits in a U.S. federal court against telemarketers to stop them from making unsolicited and illegal calls to Cingular customers.

Cingular is seeking injunctions and damages in all the three lawsuits, filed in the U.S. District Court in Atlanta, the largest U.S. wireless service, said in a statement.

I HAVE HAD CINGULAR WIRLESS FOR 6 MONTHS. THE WHOLE TIME I HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH DROPPED CALLS. I HAVE RECEIVED NEW PHONES OF A DIFFERENT BRAND AND STILL HAVE DROPPED CALLS. I HAVE EXPLAINED TO CUSTOMER RELATIONS THAT MY HUSBAND HAS A SEIZURE DISORDER AND THAT I NEED THE CALLS NOT TO DROP. THEY TOLD ME THAT AS LONG AS I CAN TALK TO HIM A LITTLE BIT ITS OK AND THEY WON’T WAIVE CANCELLATION FEES. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS TROUBLE WITH THE OTHER COMPANY (VERIZON). THEY STATE I SHOULD HAVE CANCELLED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HAVING THE PHONE. YOU KNOW WHEN THE COMPANY WAS ACTING NICE AND TRYING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. NOW SINCE I DON’T WANT TO RUIN MY CREDIT I HAVE TO WORRY EVERYTIME MY HUSBAND DRIVES BECAUSE I KNOW THE PHONE CALL WILL DROP. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MY HUSBAND I WILL SUE CINGULAR FOR KNOWING THE PROBLEM AND NOT TRYING TO HELP A FAMILY OUT WITH A MEDICAL CONDITION. SOME COMPANY CINGULAR WIRELESS IS.
